#SundaySelfie - Hungover

Gus:  We have a tired, hungover selfie today.  Mama went to Pawtini, the biggest fundraiser of the year for Great Plains SPCA.  We waited all night for her to come home and feed us!  Ok, maybe it wasn't all night, only a couple hours but it felt like all night!  Of course we had to break out the nip to get us through.

The Mama had a great time at Pawtini even if the theme was Given the Dog a Bone.  She went with her friend, Allison.

Great Plains SPCA serves 35,000 pets annually.  That takes a lot of kibble!  Last night, they were able to raise $78,000 just during the fund-a-need and live auctions.

There was a silent auction as well.  Mama said she bid on a sweet cat basket, but didn't get it.  I think she should have bid higher.  After all, it was for us to help all those homeless pets.

Mama did get a rockin t-shirt and the book, Rescued autographed by Maxwell, Faraday, and Allie's mom at A Tonk's Tail.

The musical part of the evening began with a guitar solo from Aidan Fisher.  Aidan is the 11 year old who challenged the guitarist from a heavy metal band to a guitar dual and won!  You can watch the video of the challenge online. Mama said he was amazing!

The evening ended with a concert by the cover band KC/DC.

Mama wanted to give a special "thank you" shout out to Allison's husband, Chad for being their chauffeur for the evening!
