Gus:  The Mama's nieces and nephews always like to take a goofy picture after they take a nice photo.  Otto and Liam thought they would give it a try.  Here is their nice photo:

Gus:  Taking a photo of all five minions is nearly impossible.  Yeah, I only got four and one isn't looking.  But hey, who can resist kittens in a basket?

Giovanni

Giovanni had his photo shoot today.  He was too busy playing to show you any items from Italy.  Giovanni is anything but a plain black cat.  If you look close you will see his darker black stripes.  He also has a tiny white spot under his chin and a bigger white spot on his belly.

Gus:  I probably should feel bad for tricking these minions into doing their photo shoots...but I don't.  Yes, that is a little jealousy sneaking in.  The Mama and Otto seem to have a special relationship.  They speak the same language.  No, not cat.  Not love.  German!

Eine halbe, bitte. Milch.  Kalt.
(A half, please.  Milk.  Cold.)

Hmmm...Glaubst du dass sie hier milch dienen?
(Hmmm...Do you think they serve milk here?)

Du sagst also, dies ist nicht eine milchbar?  Was hast du?
(So you're saying this isn't a milk bar? What do you have?)

Das sieht ziemlich leer zu mir.
(This looks pretty empty to me.)

Du meinst du dienst nur wasser?
(You mean you only serve water?)

Who is Mr. C?

Gus:  You may have noticed that the chalkboard on our blog says “In Memory of Mr. C” and wondered who is Mr. C?

Mr. C is the Mama’s Dad.  Unfortunately, he passed away in 2004. I know nothing will fill the hole left in Mama's heart after his passing, but I hope I can fill a piece of it.

Not only was he the best of Dads he was also a great teacher.  He taught high school math and science for 37 years.  He was a favorite of many students.  People still tell us stories of how he inspired and encouraged them.  Grandma loves hearing these stories!

Mr. C inspired us to teach foster kittens.  I only hope that I can be half the teacher and father figure to these kittens as he was to his students.

Gus for President

Today, I would like to announce my candidacy for President with the DemoCATic party.  I believe that every cat should have a home and every home should have tuna.  I will...not now, Mama!  I’m giving my speech.

Squirrel TV or Cat TV

Like most cats we like to watch a little squirrel TV.  Today's episode was pawesome!

But at some point we began to wonder if WE were the TV.

Liam

Liam wasn't that excited about his photo shoot today.  You see, Liam doesn't think he is very photogenic.  We tried to bribe him by promising him a pint of Guinness. It was only later that we told him he was too young to drink here.
