The Mama had a great time at Pawtini even if the theme was Given the Dog a Bone. She went with her friend, Allison.
Great Plains SPCA serves 35,000 pets annually. That takes a lot of kibble! Last night, they were able to raise $78,000 just during the fund-a-need and live auctions.
There was a silent auction as well. Mama said she bid on a sweet cat basket, but didn't get it. I think she should have bid higher. After all, it was
Mama did get a rockin t-shirt and the book, Rescued autographed by Maxwell, Faraday, and Allie's mom at A Tonk's Tail.
The musical part of the evening began with a guitar solo from Aidan Fisher. Aidan is the 11 year old who challenged the guitarist from a heavy metal band to a guitar dual and won! You can watch the video of the challenge online. Mama said he was amazing!
The evening ended with a concert by the cover band KC/DC.
Mama wanted to give a special "thank you" shout out to Allison's husband, Chad for being their chauffeur for the evening!
