National Pet Dental Month

Jaq:  February is National Pet Dental Health month.  I celebrated by going back for my follow up dental appointment.  Dr. Hughes said I had healed wonderfully.  I'm so happy I can start eating dry food again.  I like wet food but I was getting kind of tired of it.  I like my kibble!  Now I just need to take care of my teeths so I don't have to have any more removed!
Mama participated in the Blog Paws Twitter chat last night.  She got some great ideas.  My favorite idea is dental treats.  Don't they sound yummy?  Treats sound much better than having my teeths brushed.  Gus doesn't mind brushing.  Last night Mama shared this picture of Gus brushing his teeth.  Everyone on Twitter went crazy!

If you brush your teeths make sure you use toothpaste just for cats.  DO NOT use human toothpaste!  Our toothpaste is malt flavored.  Gus loves it!  He would prefer just to lick the toothpaste off the brush but Mama gets in a few brushes.
