Lots Going On!

Gus:  Wow!  We are so busy here at Purr's Training Acatemy.  There is a LOT going on!

First of all, Captain had surgery to remove his eye on Friday.  Some of the ulcers on his eye were healing but there were also new ones.  The awesome vets at Great Plains SPCA thought it would be a chronic condition and that he would feel so much better without that eye.  The Mama brought him home today.  He has a funny looking cone around his head.  Pearl thinks he looks like an alien and hides from him.  I may or may not agree with her.  We can tell he is already feeling better.  We thought he was a brat before the surgery but now he is out of control!  There is a reason we graduate kittens before they reach this age.  They have way too much energy for us!

Then we have two new students - Aspen and Opal. They were part of a feral cat colony.  They are extremely shy and super scared.  The Mama is going to have to train these two.  They may have FeLV so we aren't allowed to interact with them.

Well, on to Selfie Sunday.  All the minions students are submitting their selfies today.  I hope you don't mind that they had a little help.  Aspen and Opal are scared of everything and Captain has a cone on his head.

  13. My Lucy has been through this surgery, too (she has no eyes, in fact). I was surprised at how quickly she healed up. And she looks gorgeous after surgery, to me. Sending happy thoughts to your kitty, hoping the healing is similar.
